this is kinda like reading a book about myself! i related to a lot of things Reese was going through and thinking. i really loved that it was a realistic portrayal of mental health and how that can affect our daily lives and relationships. no one is perfect and relationships take work and communication between people, no matter the type of relationship it is (romantic, family, neighbourly, etc). and of course, it's a lesbian love story which made my gay little heart even happier

This was a really unique romance book in how unique the narrator's situation was, with an almost agoraphobia. It also had a pretty snarky sense of humor and an incorporation of sobriety themes that was intriguing (I have since learned the author is incorporating a theme of sobriety into each of her books, so that's awesome!).
