Must Love Silence comes to me at a time in my life where I am letting myself sink amid an ocean of romance. I am allowing my soul to drink in the romance and to be restored by the soft comfort of a happily ever after (HEA). Lucy Bexley has been kind enough to put her work out into the world, and quite honestly, I'm very grateful. I very much enjoyed this title, and was able to escape my own stressed mentality, if only for a little while.

First of all, Reese Walker is my people. Because she has the ability, she is pretty much a shut-in. She records audiobooks (something I've always wanted to do) and immensely dislikes stepping outside of her comfort zone (what a coincidence, I do too!). When she's forced to do just that in order to help someone she loves, she dutifully (if not nervously) shoulders the burden and gets on a plane to NYC.

Arden Abbott is somewhat of a Type A personality, or at least appears that way at first blush, but there's so much more to this exacting author who nitpicks every last thing Reese attempts to do for her audiobook. However, as the book goes on, we are given a deeper look at Arden, at what makes her tick, and just why she might be so very demanding of perfection for her work.

My favorite thing about this book is that Bexley never shies away from the uncomfortable. Both Arden and Reese are put into situations that test their comfort, their adaptability, and their emotional wherewithal, all of it leading to a climax (heh... heh..., sorry, I have the sense of humor of a 5 year old) of perspectives, relationship, and emotional fortitude. Honestly, if you're looking for some quality comfort reading (with a very satisfying level of steam) then look no further than Must Love Silence and enjoy the read.
