I hate to write a negative review so I will not.
I love Stephenie Meyer but I did NOT like this book and I will NOT be reading the rest of this series.
I love Paranormal but I am going to tell you that this Book was not for this girl right here.
The only thing I was happy with is that the book ended. This took forever to tell me nothing..

I had forgotten the beauty of Stephanie Meyer's writing. I was enthralled in this book and could not walk away. Few books draw me in that way. The character's were very well written and I found myself loving them all, well not Melanie's seeker... I want more from these characters.

Loved it! Pretty drawn out so you have to really get into it
I really dislike that Stephenie Meyer has to give wonderfully happy endings to all the characters in her books. I get that most people don't want to read a sad ending or *gasp* maybe even see one of their beloved characters die.
There were parts of this book that were good and parts that were exceptionally cheesy. It was better written than Twilight, probably due to the lack of excessive adjectives.
I don't regret picking this up from my college's library for free. I would have regretted shelling out about 20 bucks for the hardcover at a bookstore.

Not quite finished with the book but it definitely picks up as the Wanda/Mel character develops more. The first few chapters were TOUGH but I think once I got through that and stopped expecting the book to be Twilight, it really picked up!
*update* Ok - I just finished this yesterday. Loved the ending. I like endings where things just seem to fall in to place. Don't want to provide any spoilers. Let's just say it was well worth trudging through the beginning to get to the end.

Definitely one of the best books to read. I read this book a long time ago, I actually wouldn't mind reading it again. I read this book in about a day as well, I could not for the life of me put htis book down!
3.75? It needed some edited out - it's just ridiculously long - but it's fairly original and definitely better written than Twilight.
