This is a weird, haunting short read that is hard to explain but had a huge impact on me. It follows an unnamed, amnesiac narrator as he catalogues various encounters and situations with his fellows that don't get cured at a hospital that they can't leave.
The writing is simple yet the descriptions are beautiful. The style is a bit like a fever dream as the narrator jumps between a reality he's not sure of and dark, twisted dreams.
It provides many opportunities for reflection and in particular, the commentary on memory, time, and wrestling meaning from a static, sterile world were poignant.
