Black, Red, and White...
I am really enjoying these books. I feel like there is way too much to be said about them however. I can't wrap my mind around all the things I would point out. Lots good. Some bad. But I still enjoy them enough to say, hell ya! 5 stars!

I definitely think they are a bit silly, the dual realities and the way they interact and trying to figure out what these books are really about. I can't tell which "reality" I enjoy the story line of more. Both I think. The characters are all interesting, but very simple? That's probably the wrong word. They are complex and multifaceted but they each play a very specific role, and while it might come across as limiting or flat, I think in this type of story it works very well.

I think I just really enjoy the face paced action of these books, how the stories bounce back and forth, although eventually the parallels become very obvious, but they keep you guessing at the same time. But its the enthusiasm of the main character that is just... down right entertaining I guess.

I'm excited to move on to Green and see where this all started.

Book 1 and 2 spoilers may appear here…

I didn’t love this series, but I was pleasantly invested in it. Book 2 was probably my least favorite. Book 1 was my favorite and book 3 was in the middle. I didn’t really get in to the dream world in book 1 until the end. Because book 2 had an abrupt and completely new dreamworld beginning, I also didn’t get much in to it until the end, and found myself feeling impatient to get back to the “real” world. However, the opposite was true in book 3. I found myself bored with the real world and just wanted to stay in the dream world. Book 3 read more like a typical fantasy book, which I preferred and felt made more sense and was more cohesive.

I felt that Ted Dekkar didn’t know where he was going when he was writing. It turned out okay, but there were some holes that really bothered me.

Here’s my beef list from least bothersome to most bothersome:
⬛️ Pairing Monique with Rachelle was okay until Thomas married Rachelle, and Rachelle died. It just became weird because you think Thomas is going to get with Monique, then he doesn’t.

Really good addition to the series! I loved how they were Justin's bride and he wanted all the Scabs to come into the Circle and join the others. However, I really didn't like how many times the characters referred to Chelise as a whore. Altogether another good story that I'm so excited continues with Green because I would've been very disappointed if it didn't!

It was fantastic – the best of the three by far, with more pull than the other two combined. I’m not sure I understood the ending, or if there even was anything to understand. But I loved the pursuit of Chelise by Thomas, and it made it very hard to put down. I’m very glad that I read The Circle, and it’s a fantastic trilogy that has some great moments and very exciting plot. I don’t know if I’d use the phrase “adrenaline-laced,” and I don’t know how many real “plot twists” there were, but it was a great trilogy.

A pesar de que amé el primer libro de la serie, la historia iba perdiendo fuerza con cada página, el final muy milagroso y predecible, esperaba mucho más de estos libros, tal vez esa es la razón de mi gran decepción U_U
