I've heard a lot about this book, both good and bad, so wanted to give it a try for myself.

I found this book a great insight into royal life, which was really interesting! It's hard to know what to believe from news articles so getting a first hand description of what goes on behing closed doors was fascinating.

I loved hearing about his and Megan's love story first hand, you could really feel his love for her projecting from the book. I felt for them both for the way the media harassment affected them and how they felt they needed to protect their family.

I did find this book very negative, though. There didn't seem to be many positive moments talked about so it was quite a heavy read. Even when talking about his "frost-bitten penis" it still didn't bring much levity to the book.

Overall, I'm glad I read this and found it quite interesting but I don't think I would read another if there was any in the future.

I actually really liked this book. I don’t really follow all the royal drama. But I still remember where I was and what I was doing when I saw him as a boy, following his mom’s coffin on tv. Guess I saw this as a book about a family and nation that continually inflicted more pain on someone never allowed to really acknowledge or work through his unhealed trauma…the family or institutional image always being more important than the actually person. Made me sad. To me, it didn’t seem like he wrote this book because he was trying to stick it to his family. I felt he was being fair, and just portraying them as flawed humans, like we all are. Though, for royal standards, I’m sure this was taken as a huge affront. But after a lifetime of being told who he had to be, this book seemed to be his healing journey, and he was finally allowing himself to tell his story. Good for him!

Honestly, f*ck the haters. This person is a human. Yes, he was born w a silver spoon in his mouth but that doesn’t mean he and his family aren’t worthy of basic human decency and safety. This is a brave and vulnerable book. Well written, bravo to Harry and his ghostwriter. It occurred to me that this is a historical record more than anything, from the source. Good for him.
