idk if this is a 3.5 or not.....

to be honest this started out very slow and boring to me. i just couldn't stay interested so i borrowed the audiobook. around the half way point it really started to pick up and I just got wrapped into the story. those last 100 pages were sooooo good!!!

also highly recommend the audiobook

This was an incredible book. I was completely absorbed in the storytelling and the characters. The language was so beautiful it often hurt. It was such a pleasure to read. This is a story that will stay with me. I’ll be widely recommending this book.

I loved this book so much. It has what may be the best depiction of a family - love, complexity, flaws, failures, triumphs - that I’ve ever read.
