Simply put, it you liked the first book, you'll like this one. It was really good. I still say the authors are the Tom Clancy of the fantasy world.

Despite some glaring editing issues, this book was just as great as the first. The growth of Declan is enjoyable and the continuation of the storyline was very well put together. The end was also a huge surprise. I can only hope book 3 comes soon

It was the same format as book one. A few pages of action followed by chapters and chapters of info dumps.

A fantastic second book to this series. It broke away from much of the formulaic mechanisms of the first book to tell a unique and interesting story. Perhaps the first book was just a lot of world building.

I liked it. Like the first, it was good but not fabulous. Parts of the book were amazing, but there were also parts that were kind of odd and uninteresting to me. Also, there are typos, which drives me crazy. If the next book was immediately available I would definitely read it - as is I’m not sure if I’ll still be interested when the next one comes out.
