𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀: forced proximity, marriage of convenience friends to lovers, military, second chance, small town
Blakely is a badass military heroine medic, but who is afraid of losing someone. Emmet is an ex-military who now works as a sheriff, but even though Blakely broke his heart a few years ago, he still has feelings for her.
The marriage surprises Brielle, Spencer and Holden as well as the whole town. I liked how at the beginning Spencer made Blake and Emmet stay in the same apartment, it was very cute. It is clear that Blake and Emmet have feelings, but both are stubborn to act for different reasons.
The new beginning of their relationship in combination with the little mystery from the beginning of the book is a perfect one. Thai is until everything escalates and the mystery begins to take shape and be one of the reasons that keeps them a little apart.
The plot twist was a bit obvious, but it still made me shed some tears. Blake's pain in this part is very strong and makes you feel like you want to hold her in your arm and cry with her.

↠ Everyone is in danger, which raised the stakes
↠ My favorite Michaels romance to date
↠ She writes stand-alone love stories, but this made me want to go back and read the first one in the series 𝙃𝙚𝙡𝙥 𝙈𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧

Give Me Love is the second book in the Rose Canyon series. This time it’s about Sheriff Emmett Maxwell and Blakely Bennett. I’ve been waiting for this book since that little bomb was dropped at the very end of the first book.
Emmett and Blakely were best friends and had a marriage of convenience. (Until it wasn’t) They haven’t seen each other in two and a half years. He has sent her divorce papers months ago, because he needs to be done with their relationship. He had (has) so many feelings for her—and then she ran out on him.
I know that I am going to get an emotional read with this author. I never know just how, though. Emmett and Blakely were both wonderful characters and obviously perfect for each other. She’s just afraid of losing someone close to her again.
I enjoyed the added suspense in the story with the missing girls. I also loved how the author brings in characters from her prior books. (Though I haven’t read that series yet, so I had to look it up.) One part of the story is a little predictable, so that is why it’s a four star read instead of a five. Otherwise, I enjoyed it!
Thank you Valentine PR and the author for my advanced readers copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

When Emmett Maxwell got wounded in a mission that got him discharged, he heads home to the peaceful town of Rose Canyon. Working as a sheriff there, he thinks things are quieting down after the terrible murder of one of his best friends. That's when Blakely Bennett shows up, stirring up all sorts of feelings... and trouble. She's there investigating a case of a missing teenager. She used to be his best friend in the Army. Too bad she's also his wife...
When we got a first glimpse of Blakely in the last chapter of Help Me Remember, I knew this was going to be a fun ride. OMG, I was NOT mistaken! This story will take you through so many twists and turns your head will spin! It's a lovely tale of friendship turned into love, a marriage of convenience and a suspense story that will keep you gasping.
I absolutely love the dynamic between Blake and Emmett and I was cheering for them since page 1.
One of the best things about Corinne Michaels is that she writes the perfect standalones but they are incredibly amazing in how they are all interconnected. SO many beloved characters show up and it's so much fun to catch up. I thought my favorite heroine of all Corinne's books was Charlie (who I was so happy to see in this book!) but Blake is giving her a run for her money!
LOVED IT!
Possible triggers: mentions of injuries sustained while on military duty, kidnapping, missing children
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you, Corinne Michaels and Valentine PR for the advanced copy.
