Solid 3.5 but I rounded up to a 4 mostly due to the dynamics of the 3 main characters.
The threat and resulting investigation were okay but nothing special. It could have just as easily been something less banal than a stalker and the twisted ways that played out.
II enjoyed the dynamic between Mason and Tyler and how Lacey balanced them out. The men had to overcome their feelings of betrayal to their other best friend Rob and their promise to stay away from his sister. Lacey had to overcome a traumatic event in her past to fully embrace the men.
I was just relieved to not have any of the other police officers be dirty cops.

I completely understand why some reviewers waffled on how to rate this. Some of the dialog was just silly (exp: constant use of "doll") and the mystery was not as well thought out as it could have been. I won't lie. I gave this 4 stars for the chemistry between the trio and the sex scenes. A few of the scenes were scorching! I also liked that although there was m/m action going on the girl never got lost in the mix, which I've seen happen over and over whenever I read bi-menage-HEA, which is why I usually rate them lower.

A selection of tropes--friends to lovers, ménage, GFY, kink, trauma--spun together with some interesting twists. None of it was very well or sensitively written, but...damn, I got invested.
The sex scenes were (mostly) godawful, though. Even including one honest-to-god "that's not what the hymen is!" moment of the sort that I thought we left behind in, like, the 90s.

The characters and character interaction was well put together. The storyline, for the most part, was great. The only problem I had was Alpha cop big brother Rob's death. It wasn't the fact that he died. It was the description of what happened that was an issue for me. Nobel men don't hit women, but I'm damn sure if one is coming at you with a knife that man is going to fight. That part was very much on the unbelievable side. The rest of the story was great. The twists in the plot were unpredictable. The love was hot. The sex even hotter.
