DNF at 30%. Both MC’s are awkward but so dumb. I couldn’t see the chemistry between them. The FMC is insufferable. I truly stopped caring about them being rescued.

.., I mean the first piece had me and then it got too insane

The newest Beth O‘Leary book managed to keep me interested and invested from the beginning. It was a very engaging concept to write about what could happen if a One Night Stand would turn into a longer period due to a houseboat not being moored correctly. And I did eat it up. Yes, the FMC Lexi was annoying but at the same time I loved that she was there for her family without question. And the MMC Zeke felt a bit like a lover boy who only chases the short highs but he had a deeper soul and that spoke to me. Overall, another Beth O‘Leary book I ended up enjoying!

I loved this book! Although certain details definitely took some willing suspension of disbelief, it was such a fun read. Beth O'Leary is great at creating out-of-the-box scenarios that make for interesting relationships.
I do wish this had ended when they got rescued; I didn't feel like I needed the last twist. But it resolved in a nice (if predictable) way.
