Everyone in this book is both boring and stupid, which unfortunately means that it is longer than it needs to be. The police officer is also a sexual predator, but none of the other characters notice this due to their previously mentioned limitations. The ending is also massively twee and sentimental, and just generally awful. And then there’s the unaddressed sexual harassment throughout, and the casual racism…

Someone loves systematic authoritarian violence and toxic masculinity. It isn’t me though.
This is the first time I've ever really gotten into books like this, but it was pretty good for the content. I love a lot of this other authors books so to me it was at least a decent read. But still not one of my favourites.

Every decision this girl made was stupid. And the characters are all horrible people.
The character development felt a little weird for me in this book. I never truely felt like I knew anyone and the characters that were there seemed a little flat.
The storyline was very intriguing and kept me moving through the story.
