I don't enjoy horror, but was encouraged to read this by my siblings. It was well written and executed, so it gets 4 stars, but it's not my cup of tea.

Maybe 3.5 stars? The beginning & the last 150 pages or so were so fun - but this one struggled in the middle. I don’t think this book needed to be almost 500 pages. But, unique & fun story, and definitely scary in parts! I’m now perfectly terrified of the deep ocean.
