I received this book for Christmas in 2011 but because of this series being a love/hate series for me it was hard to even pick it up. Even though it wasn't my favourite book I am glad I read it.

I love the covers for this series although now they have had a bit of a change which I'm a bit annoyed about as I have the first 9 books in this cover so the rest will be different which I don't like when that happens.

Throughout most of this book I wasn't enjoying it as much as I used to as it was so boring they was just nothing interesting happening. I was having such a hard time that I thought I was going to be rating it 2/5 but the end saved the book. The end was kind of epic compared to the rest of the book as there was so much going on and it was so thrilling to read I couldn't wait to see what happened next. I think if it wasn't for the end of this book I might have given up on this series but now I think I have to continue it as I want to know how everything is going to end. I probably won't get the books straight away like I did with this one I will just wait to find them cheaper. There was abit too many unanswered questions which I didn't like as I was expecting to have some answers with the series coming to an end but I was left with loads more questions. Even though I liked the ending I still feel like these books are unnecessary any more it just feels a bit dragged out.

With the characters I didn't really get any kind of feeling towards them which I think might be because they swap the pov around with different characters and then bring in new characters it just gets confusing. Zoey does seem like she has grown up a bit but I feel like she is a bit boring. Stark is still my favourite character in this book but there is something that was happening to him during this book but nothing really come of it. We also see more of the twins on there own which was nice to see how different they actually are.

Overall this series is dragging but usually the ending saves it which happened here and then it makes me want to get the next book.

My biggest problem with this book was the fact that it's been like 2 years since I've read the last book. I admit, that one's on me. But the storyline wasn't that entertaining. I remember that the first books in the series were really good but it should have ended long time ago and there are like 3 more books! However, there were enough funny moments to keep me satisfied and Stark had a lot of amazing scenes so it wasn't horrible. I think 3 stars is a fair rating.

||Lenobia and Travis are absolute perfection and I am so looking forward to reading her novella and finding out more about her life||. I am so glad that Shaunee atleast is finally developing a personality and I'm glad she is there for Rephiam. Speaking of I really do love Rephiams character, he has such hope and ||that moment where he kneels, trusting Dragon compleatly eventhough he was told Dragon was going to kill him was perfect||. || The end of this book was pretty incredible, though ||Nyx showing up for her little mini pep talk was completely unnecessary||. ||I can't believe that Kalona is on team good! I hope he doesn't betray them for Rephiams sake. Also as the Godesses fallen warrior he is gonna make an excellent sword master||. I cannot wait to read the next book.

I will try giving this another chance though I always seem to get stuck in the first few chapters :/

After book 8, this book was a little disappointing. It seemed like a filler episode. The ending was filled with lots of excitement and heart-racing moments, but the rest of the book was kind of slow. I guess because the end of the series is getting closer, the authors felt like they needed a book that would set-up the final battle, which I believe this book did accomplish. I still like this series. It has many faults, but it is definitely fun and entertaining. The series is also filled with a lot of heart and strong characters. At first, I did not like switching from one character to another in different sections, which started in book 6, but now, I feel like it is vital to understand how each characters is growing, moving along, and making decisions that impact the whole story. I am really enjoying Thanatos. I believe that she can kick some ass when given the chance. I hope to see her and Zoey kick Neferet's ass. I am definitely looking forward to the next book, but as I get closer to end, I am starting to get a little sad. These characters are definitely fun. I hope that all of my favorites make it out alive!

This was a really good book, there were a lot more POV's then usual, and there were new characters, and various plot developments, and it was a bit sad, but I can't wait to read the next book!

You know those books that you try to finish but just accept the fact that you never will (and frankly don't want to)? Yeah...

Although this book is poorly written and the grammatical errors in the teenage dialogue is quite infuriating, I was sucked in by the plot again! I need to know how this series ends!

Unlike most people reviewing the book, I actually loved it, and saw how important most of the stuff that happened was. I also read them BECAUSE I LIKE THEM, not because I just want to complain about how "bad this book was" I loved the ending.I pieced everything together half way, through, but it did have a surprise or two. I can't wait for the next book!

I never noticed before the difference in the two styles of writing between P.C. And Kristen, but since I read a review where a book blogger brought up how she could tell the difference and now it is so glaringly obvious! You would think they would iron that out in editing a little more.

1. Stevie Rae's accent dissappears almost completely sometimes. Other times it is ridiculous! (Sayin', takin', seein', 'preciate, 'specially, purrin', y'all, etc.) I don't think continuity is too much to ask of a book.
2. The overuse of the word seriously is annoying.
3. How many times can BFF be used in one book?
4. This book also overused the word super (super important, super purple, super creepy, super anxious, super crazy and it goes on and on and on)
5. I really don't appreciate how they use the word "stuff".
6. Nisroc talks like Yoda.
7. They actually use the word pussy in this book, that is all I got to say about that.
