I was really excited for this book to come out as I love Thomas Blackstone and his merry band. The dialogue, action and different life-threatening situations were all there, however I felt the story lacked a little in this one.

I felt like not much happened. Other then Thomas defying the odds once again, and a deeper look into his son (I loved that he didn't go back and rescue Henry), the story lacked in character development and the vast importance of the raiding in France in the time of the 100 year war.

Looking forward to the next one nonetheless.
