This is one of the most amazing books....

This is an amazing book. Not gonna lie, I was a little confused at the beginning when all these characters were being mentioned. When I figured out what was going on it was quite the twist for me. Not many books deal with mental illness very well or write it very well, and this was done amazingly well. Definitely worth the read.

5 damn stars wish I could give it more.. Now I am not good at writing reviews and Lord know this book deserves the best, but here is mine.

Wow what a book, and honestly a difficult one to read. Usually I have some spoilers in reviews but with this book I cant do it.
when I read the synopsis of the book I thought I knew a little what this book was about and boy was I wrong, nothing can compare you to the life Kady and Yeo both live...

I do know that this Mental Illness excist and that out there in the real world there is a Kady, and all I can hope for those people is that there is a Yeo by there sides.

I say a lot that I have a new hero or a new book boyfriend after reading those dropping panties hot books but Yeo does not fit into those category's no he has a special one, someone who never gives up no matter how hard and dark and confusing life goes, who stand behind you and protects you, who would do anything in his power to make you happy and love you.

He is my HERO of unconditional love and I don't think anyone can replace him at the top.

this was one of the first books i’ve read with a plot twist that i didn’t see coming from a mile away. not sure how i feel

Read my review on my blog --> http://acourtofbooksandafangirl.blogspot.com/

I could barely get through two chapters. The writing is so poor and cliche. A lot of telling, very little showing. With all the 5 star reviews, I expected more.

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

When my eyes are closed, the monster can’t ever see me.
When I sing a song in my head, the monster can’t ever hear me.
When I pretend my bedroom is a playground where I play hide and seek, the monster can’t ever find me.

The darkness should frighten me.
I should worry I’ll find more monsters…monsters scarier than him.
But I’m not afraid.

It’s safe here.
When I’m inside of my head…

He. Can’t. Ever. Touch. Me.

I have a hard time finding the right words to put on paper, or on the screen I suppose, that describe my feelings about this book. While it is every bit deserving of five stars, it's for a far different reason than any of K's previous novels. Whispers and the Roars is a heavy read; it is dark in a way that you do not expect, it is loaded, filled to the brim, with aching and overwhelming emotions, but at its core it is still a romance.

I love her. Plain and simple. You can’t snuff out the blazing flames of love. Soulmates don’t simply drift apart.

I am a blurb fanatic, I rely on them to make a decision about a book, but K. Webster is one author I do not do that with, I'll read anything she puts in front of me, and Whispers and the Roars is the kind of book you just jump into. There is nothing I could possibly say that wouldn't give something away. The characters are heartbreaking, they're raw, and their experiences are far more realistic than readers may be prepared for. Nothing could have possibly prepared me for the emotions I felt as I turned page after page, as the words filled up my heart and my head, as the shock of the novel turned into a defensive feeling over the characters and their story. K. Webster successfully guides readers through the past and present of the characters, flawlessly switching between points-of-view and weaving a story that is shadowed by a darkness that is hard to comprehend. Kady and Yeo are an unlikely pair that makes sense; Kady views herself as a broken girl losing the battle against PTSD and depression, while Yeo succeeds at becoming a doctor who views Kady as his soulmate. I felt fiercely protective over Kady, much as Yeo did, because the reality of their situation is just that...very real. There are countless secondary characters, each so unique and their relationship to Kady and Yeo carefully developed through out the novel. It is very obvious that this story is different from K's previous work from the very start, there was a level of research that goes into this story and the characters that is very apparent, but it only makes the book that much better.

Yeo is my drug. And I willingly give my biggest vein to him to inject his life into me.

Captivating from the very first page, Whispers and the Roars is one of K. Websters most challenging and rewarding releases this year. It is suspenseful and touches on a multitude of heavy topics, including abuse, acceptance, mental disorders, lust, and love. While much of the novel could be considered triggers, even for me personally, I found that K handled each topic delicately. I absolutely suggest this novel, regardless of your love of darker reads or not.

I received a mail with this free book from the author saying that it was the most sold book of hers ever. She then says "You absolutely MUST go in blind. Trust me on this one!" and I did!! I didn't read even the blurb. I went in completely blind and at a certain point( the point where the plot gets revealed) I felt like I've been slapped on the face with that twist!
I wasn't prepared for this book, I never read such a book before with this idea of plot, but I loved it. It broke my heart and put it back together just like Kady tries to get her pieces together every day.
Absolutely recommend!
P.S. Go blind into the book. 😁

Wow. Teška knjiga. Teška tema. u jednom momentu sam željela odustati od čitanja, ali onda se dogodio 'twist' i ponovno sam se uvukla u priču i nisam mogla stati sa čitanjem. Baš sam iznenađena ovom knjigom.
