this book is a tough one for me because the plot twist was great and the premise was really interesting but…
i found it a very compelling read for the first half because i couldn’t quite work out what was happening in the book however, when the plot twist happened and the book made more sense i lost interest. i was no longer invested because i felt no connection or investment towards any of the characters or their relationships. also for a book that was trying to be very dark, edgy and gripping the ending felt wayyyyy too idealistic and underwhelming.

This is a book you just dive in and trust. I went in completely blind and I feel like I got the best experience! 10/10 recommend to just read!!!

this was one of the first books i’ve read with a plot twist that i didn’t see coming from a mile away. not sure how i feel

I really like this book. It was one of my faves last year, now I don’t think is super up there on my list, but I still really like it a lot. The writing is phenomenal and the way we meet and care for each character is amazing.
I found a few more things that bothered me this time.
1) Yeo saying this: “I’ve waited forever,” I say with a growl as I push her knees apart. “Don’t make me wait any longer.” uhhh, she doesn’t owe you shit. She was into it but idk it rubbed me the wrong way.
2) Yeo and Bones, I’m fine with the fact that they were together. Kady was fine, who am I to judge u know? But again, I didn’t like that Yeo said he filled a void Kady left.. it felt wrong.
3) Kady is 29 and Yeo 30, but it felt childish at times. I think it would’ve fit more if they were in their early twenties. They didn’t act their age at time.

4.5 stars! WOW! Holy smokes. I can’t even tell you what I’m feeling right now. What an insanely incredible ride that was. Yeo owns my heart. And my mind is blown. I absolutely loved this story.
