Raven has always loved Ares and was crushed when he got engaged to her sister. When her sister doesn't show up for the wedding, Raven has to take her place. Now that they are married, Raven is determined to do anything to win him over.
Ares always knew that he would be married to Raven, but one night changed that. After five years, he was going to be marrying her sister - until she decides to not show up. It was like the universe was telling him that he was meant to be with Raven.
He thought they would only be married by name, but Raven was not going to be in a loveless marriage. They both agreed to give the relationship a real chance. Ares had always felt something for Raven but couldn't understand what it was or meant. After months together, he realizes he is in love with Raven and will do anything to keep her. But Raven's sister is relentless and will do anything to get Ares back. Will Raven and Ares love for each other be enough? Or were they doomed from the beginning?

The Wrong Bride is the first book I've read from Catharina Maura and I loved it. The book was filled with so much angst and drama, and I enjoyed every minute of it (even if I wanted to throw the book across the room multiple times lol). I hated the way Raven's family treated her, especially her mother and sister. Raven is smart, beautiful, and successful, but her mother always put her down. We do find out why she's treated this way and it's wrong on so many levels. Ares was always protective of Raven and was always there for her. It was so funny to see him get jealous when other guys would approach Raven. After everything they went through, I was happy that they got their happy ending. I can't wait to continue this series and see the other Windsor siblings get their happy ending!
