okay there were parts of this book that i liked. like, raven was sweet but i wish we had so much more of her character, instead of ares who should've put his foot down earlier. don't even get me started on all the drama man, honestly so much of it could've been cut out!

So… this one was kinda weird. I felt like I was on a slippery slope. It wasn’t bad but it made me mad, which I guess is good since you want to feel something for the characters. This was a series and I was only able to listen to this one.

The grandma is a witch who is doing the “this is for your own good” card, the mother and sister are manipulating narcissistic witches and the father doesn’t care about his daughter as long as they all get what they want.

A whole bunch of miscommunication and not standing up for yourself.

Not sure how this keeps getting around. The plot overall was interesting which is why I finally caved and got the audio (I'm a sucker for dual narration- and it WAS good narration) but the actual story was just....flat. No Spoilers, even though I want to lay out so many issues, I just don't have the energy. Raven deserved better, Hannah was unrealistically ridiculous, and Ares was just... no. I'm upset this gets so much attention and is so disappointing. I don't think I'll be finishing the series but the writing was good, I will say that- I just didn't like the overall story. Take that as you will.

This is by far the worst book I read this year. It was a he said she said story. The writing was poorly executed. No character development at all. When I read the blurb I was excited. In the beginning I really thought the book would pick up but it didn't and my heart just got so disappointed because I wanted to like it. I really tried to find something good in it, but sadly I couldn't like it.

There was no emotion, it was just a he sighed, she laughed, I am so rich, i just do what I want. She is so famous and so beautiful.

Where is the drama? Angst? The emotion?

I don't recommend it, and I am really perplexed as to why booktok recommended it?

I have had only 4star reads this year. I'm so very disappointed.
