The beginning up until 40% I was enjoying the story. I was so intrigued to where this was going. I love this trope too. I was thinking it would be a 4 stars but it was a bit too repetitive. I really need to finish the series too.
BACK Jan 2nd 2025 first read well reread trying to get back in this series. YEAH NO COULDNT DO IT. I got 75% more than last time but no i couldn’t read one more chapter that would just end the same with the way ares and raven talk and think nope

A easy read romance which is great for this time of year.
I have really mixed feelings about this one.
There were things I liked, such as the found family trope which is massive for me, and the way Raven stood up for herself and cut the toxic out of her life (even if it did take an age).
But then there were also things I didn’t like. There was a lot of repetition in this book, from Raven not feeling enough to Ares then reassuring her, to them being happy to going back to the start of Raven being insecure. And on the topic of reassurance, since when has sex been the way to truly show your feelings for someone?
I also cringed a lot through this book with the over use of Raven being labelled a wife by Ares, like we get it you’re married.
The character of Hannah was so well written, a true villain and I hated her from the off so that’s definitely a positive.

It was more like a telenovela than an actual romance book IMO.
If you're into those type of drama-esque storylines, you'll love this one.
Sadly it wasn't really for me, altough I was able to entertain my friends with the happenings.

Cute one. Still don’t get the ML rushness. A lil bit rush towards the end.
