Quick, intense read. Dealing with some major issues coming out of conflict.
There are some issues that I found and possibly a longer treatment would solve - the quick resolution of their reunion difficulties for example.
However, I enjoyed the premise and the execution, good short story.

A really well written, emotional story written for the "Love Has No Boundaries" event. I am so totally amazed at the level of talent shown by the contributors!

This story, while short, still manages to pack quite a punch. I loved the little foreshadowy bits that got my heart racing and my mind going omgOmgOMG! And I must confess to ending up a snotty, sniffling mess. Well done!

The idea behind this was good, but the actual work was very messed up in my eyes.

I look forward immensely to further stories from this author, a bold and intricate writer who deservedly sits along-side contemporaries as my own recommendation of “the one to watch”.

At fist I expected something different after reading the discription. But what I got in the end was great. Not what I expected but great nevertheless. It was propably a bit short. And I would have preferred to have a few pages more for the characters to evolve more.
But that is complaining in a rather high level.

A wonderful free short story!

This was a great read about two military paramedics who went through hell and heaven together, got wounded in very different ways, and lost themselves as well as each other along the way.

What made this so special was how real the MCs felt to me. I felt their anxiety, their euphoria, their pain and their losses. It was heart-breaking & -warming at the same time. And while it is angsty and heavy on the tears, it's also a wonderful story about never giving up, about surviving and finding hope. And love.
The HFN fit perfectly, anything else would have been way too much for two men with that kind of baggage and trauma.

I enjoyed it immensely and am looking forward to reading more of this author's work.
