I have no idea how to rate this volume (hence the 3 stars). Somehow I loved it, but I was a bit underwhelmed by it as well. There was a lot of action in this one that did not do much at all beside being really pretty and really well executed. I really thought there would be more to Makima's character but I was a bit disappointed in that sense, she just wants "to be loved" but "doesn't know how to express it" just like every other villain ever. She's still very, very badass tho.
I think I would have loved it better if I wasn't left that confused about the plot, but that's on me and my slow brain for not getting the depth of it. All in all I really liked this first part, and I got really attached to Denji and everyone else. I'm not quite certain I'll be reading the second part, I think I have to sort out what I think about this one first.

This volume was amazing just like the previous volumes but everything happened too fast and I couldn’t quite grasp the details

I have truly enjoyed the experience of reading this series and I have a good feeling I will remember it for a long time.
the way Makima manipulated everyone was so cool and also fuck dat bitch ass! The fights were just so cool and I absolutely loved the plot so much!! AHHH!!! That is my whole reaction basically.
