My first Alex Finlay novel did not disappoint. It definitely kept me guessing.

Fast paced exciting read
challenging dark mysterious reflective tense fast-paced
adventurous dark mysterious tense medium-paced

This was my first read by Alex Finlay and I had a great time with it! Super twisty and fast-paced, with multiple POVs that kept things interesting (even if I wished they were a little more balanced). I was hooked from the start and liked the quick chapters and layered mystery. It did get a bit chaotic toward the end, but overall this was a fun thriller. I’d definitely pick up another book by them!

I liked the first third or half of the book, but somewhere along the way my interest decreased. Maybe because there were too many people to keep in mind, too many names? I kind of got who and why the murders happened, but I think I would have been better off reading the book in my native language - unfourtunately the book does not translate to Swedish. Also, we never quite get an explanation as to why the killer says ”Good night, pretty girl”, or if we did it all just flew over my head totally.

Couldn’t focus on it. Too many complex characters.
