Near the end, it got a little hard to keep track of all the plot points. I think there were a few twists that were unnecessary, but I’m not sure how parts of the story would’ve resolved without them. It just seemed like there was a new twist every chapter and it was hard to track. But all in all, a good read. I enjoyed it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It truly was un-put-downable for me. It was a tightly written, well-paced novel filled with interesting characters. The book itself is broken into three sections - Day One, Day Two and Day Three. Each time I thought "it's the end of a day, I can put the book down until tomorrow, it's time to go to sleep" and inevitably, I would blaze on past that barrier. I finished it a quarter after midnight. That's how addicting it was.

I think this could be a great movie, because of the pace of it. Each character seemed to fill a trope, where after I finished reading it, I felt that maybe two of them were a bit flat. But the FBI agent Keller? She was my favorite - so much fun to read about her, and her life, and her insights! The ending of the book was explosive - that is the scene where as I was reading it I thought "this feels a tad overdramatic, but I bet would look amazing on screen." It didn't detract from my enjoyment at all.

I was able to guess who the murderer was fairly early on. It started out as a gut feeling, then the book slowly built up to the reveal with hints here, and small reveals there - just watch out for a few red herrings. What kept me invested was not just the central mystery, but all of the minor reveals for each of our POV characters (there are three) that happened periodically throughout the book. You won't want to skip past those to the end because they are half the fun!

Would I recommend this book? Absolutely. Can you finish the entire thing in an afternoon? Of course - once you start, you won't want to put it down. Don't start it so late in the day as I did. :)
