This is a solid mystery-thriller. A few implausible issues (such as a pregnant FBI agent carrying twins in her 8th month running around on a case)…but a good read nonetheless.

I did have a harder time with the multiple points of view on audio. But I just went with the flow.

Alex Finlay, why did you do this to me? I’m feeling both happy and sad after reading this. This story is so entertaining and fun. It brings some nostalgia with some key scenes at the Blockbuster. Okay where to begin.

I think what makes this story so great is the likeable but flawed characters. In the beginning I was so confused as to why Ella was a flawed therapist. But she was working out her serious issues. Same with Chris. He was a sweet guy with a rough childhood. Atticus and Keller were also likeable and had me rooting for them.

I enjoyed the different point of views from characters. It helped get a glimpse at the cases and tried to get readers to uncover the crime.

Overall, the story was cohesive, well put together, and flowed. I had fun reading it and was very surprised with the plot twists. Would highly recommend. I’m excited to pick up his other books!
