This one gets you in the feels. You know who the bad guy is (he gets off easy) and you lose two of those that offered the most to the world. First book to make me cry this year (2024).

Pretty good mystery. I figured out who the killer was early on, but there were other plenty of other shockers! Many lovable characters.

This book is about mass killings at a Video store that happen in the eve of 1999...
Four girls are attacked and only one survive.
Suspect is caught, but due to lack of evidence, he is set free, who disappears in thin air.
Fifteen years later, in the same town, again four girls are attacked in an ice-cream parlor, only one survives.
The book is very well written. The author sticks to the plot throughout the book, which keeps us engaged in this fast-paced mystery.
The book is like those Russian Nesting Dolls, which has mysteries nested within another mystery and had many surprise elements that keeps you glued to the book.

Wow wow wow, I loved this book!! I loved the characters so much. I loved the story. I loved the style of writing. I loved the 90’s nostalgia. I could not recommend this book more, can’t wait to read more by the author! i think this is one of my favorite books I’ve read all year.
