Un guión sencillo, una historia simple, arte precioso por donde se lo mire, y un ritmo rápido que te hace devorarlo en una sentada. Hubiera preferido más desarrollo, pero me doy por bien servido.
A simple script, an easy story, beautiful art however you look at it, and a fast pace that makes you devour it in one sitting. I would have preferred more development, but I'm well served.

Not gonna lie, I was expecting a little bit of a slower burn with this one, but it just goes straight into the action. That being said, I love the art, it’s delicate and beautifully colored and shaded. I was in awe at the lighting of most of the scenes, it captures the mood really well. While I would like to see more talking between the main couple, I still think the story is pretty sweet. Specially with the inclusion of the high school flashbacks. And I love this idea of having a second chance with “the one who got away”. Here’s to hoping that Seon-ho and Myeong stayed together forever 🙏🏼💜

Reminiscing some of the indelible remnants of my BL nostalgia through the consumption of Hyperventilation's manhwa adaptation. This was initially a 20-minute animation that was created by an indie Korean artist on her own and made available online. I remember how this took the BL community by storm all those years ago because of its riveting animation and titillating content, which we rarely, if ever, had. It was distinctly short, with only 5 minutes per episode, but we were animation-starved, so the level of our investment and excitement was through the roof.
Due to its popularity in the community, a DVD was released later on alongside it being adapted into a 6-chapter manhwa that's faithful to its source material, the only difference being the inclusion of a couple of extra chapters that the animation didn't cover, featuring the couple after they started dating.
If I were to choose though, I still prefer the animation as it was more dynamic, evocative, visually pleasing, and...uh...eargasmic. For those that have watched it like I did, you can completely forego the main chapters of the manhwa and simply proceed to chomping the extras.

This was a really cute, quick read I’ve been looking forward to. It did feel a bit rushed, but the high school opposites to lovers is a favorite trope of mine. I wish there was more of their story to read.

The only reason this doesn't get five stars is it was just too damn short. I needed more, way more!! The art was so gorgeous and I loved the story idea. The characters were also unique and wonderful. Just too short *tears*
Didn't think I would be super into this as modern webcomic and webcomic-esque stories are not generally my thing, but it was different than I expected. A slip of a story that really benefits from its full-color layouts and general atmosphere. There is barely a plot here, but it succeeds much more in capturing a small series of moments than I thought it would. Don't get me wrong, it's mostly a fairly generic BL story. But I liked it more than I predicted.
