I never grow tired of this book, no matter how many times I've revisited it over the years. I imagine it's a similar feeling to the one Anne Shirley had for that dear, old place called Green Gables.

Oh Anne, I think I am a kindred spirit, too.

I enjoyed the book, it is charming and cosy in an old world, small town way but I much preferred the TV series

Classics are difficult for me to read because they tend to have run-on sentences and overly describe things that don't need so much detail. This book is no different. As much as I love Anne, there's just that kind of language block where everything's a little "too much." It's hard to describe.
