I was warned the first two aren't good so what was I expecting. Did not linger on any one concept long enough to make a point, so it reads more like a fantasy trope joke book. Can't honestly say that I liked the story more than in the first, even if it is more coherent.

This book is an improvement over the first one, and finishes the story started in it. Similar to the first book, the writing here is quite funny and takes shots at all sorts of overused tropes.
Also similar to the first book is the zaniness of the story, which can be hard to understand. The Discworld is such a unique place, and very little is spent explaining it, which makes it hard to follow what is happening and here.
