Reviewing now that I have read the whole series:

✅ High-stakes war & political intrigue
✅ Romance remains stable & healthy and so damn good (no third-act breakup or unnecessary drama). Emotional growth and teamwork shine throughout.
✅ Action and tension perfectly balanced with intimate character moments.

This book DELIVERS !!! On both the epic war and the personal stakes. The romance continues to be satisfying without having to resort to drama for tension’s sake. The spice did get dialed down in this book, but the focus on characters and the plot definitely makes up for it.

The pacing is awesome. Nothing feels too dragged out or cut short.  And once you start reading the book, you won't want to put it down because there is A LOT going on. I'm also really happy Feyre's sisters are now playing a bigger role, especially Nesta !

Overall, a great conclusion to Feyre and Rhysand's main story. I was invested from start to finish. Now, on to the next!

3 for the book. 3.5 for the overall trilogy. generally books about anything fae get an immediate hard pass from me, so the fact that i read *3* books about them is worth the extra half star. enjoyed this much more than the Throne of Glass series. also I ship the main couple here way more than the one in that series. (the ship here gets a 4 just on its own. hello, chemistry.)

No spoilers but a pat of this book made me cry. Literally cry tears and all which has never happened to me while reading a book.

Basically the end of the trilogy (not the series though)
Better than the first book, worse than a second. It does a good job of tying it all together
Written well
By now we love the characters
Good plot

This was by far the best book in the series. I liked the first two but didn't connect with Feyre at all and kept reading mostly for the other characters. This time around I started to really like Feyre and the story was far more engaging to me too.
