Holy crap I loved this book. You see a lot more of Az and Cas in the Night Court roles, you learn about what Hybern plans to do and even see a big battle, and your heart gets ripped out by Tamlin yet again. Because he's an idiot who can't control his emotions.
Appart from the slow section in the middle I loved this book , this series has my heart .

I initially gave this 4.5 stars but now that it's been a day since I've finished, I'm changing my review to 3.5 stars. Don't get me wrong, I liked this book quite a bit. But I felt very underwhelmed with it (it's not often that my favorite book in the trilogy is the second).
Longer review to come later.

I have so many things to say about this book, but first and foremost I am so so happy they got their ending. Like the second book I was crying, screaming, laughing, all for different reasons. I personally loved the politics of the whole war and I thought that the battles and the twists were so well done I truly commend Sarah Mass for that. She elevated the story and brought it to a perfect ending (even though I know there is more to come).
I didn’t think I could fall in love with these characters anymore than I already have but god I love them all so much. Getting to learn more about them and see them grow is one of the most fulfilling parts of this story.
I will admit it was a little slow at times but even the slow parts were still so interesting and I never felt bored reading this book.
Also can we talk about how Feyre’s intelligence like skyrocketed in this book? She fully took her role as High Lady and has done such amazing work with it, no one is more worthy of that title. Watching her grow especially was 100% one of the best parts in this book. She was SO smart in the Spring Court and I blame her for nothing. TAMLIN is a pussy and I still hate him but I have to admit he made my cry at the very end when he gave Rhys his life back.
I AM SO HAPPY IANTHE IS DEAD WOW HOW I FUCKING HATED THAT UGLY BITCH. The whole time I was reading I pictured her literally deformed and like blue for some reason? I don’t know why. I am so happy the weaver ate her ass what a fitting fucking end.
It’s hard to say but I cried the most over the Suriel and when I saw the ships Feyre’s father sent coming in. It actually broke me. Oh and of course Rhys who just always makes me cry I love him dearly and I want him and Feyre to have centuries together.
To anyone reading this, if you do not fully get or like the first book PLEASE stick with it. I usually hate when series are like that (which to me this one really wasn’t but I can see how people can say then in comparison to the others) but the plot and story make up for it.
I will say though, my only one complaint is that she really did not have to add the little biblical reference LMFAO. Like the parting of the sea and Miryum who is no doubt named after Moses’ sister in the Bible, considering that that Drakon is a Seraphim, like the high ranking angels. That took me a bit out of the story for a hot second but I still went along with it. It wasn’t a bad addition but I think she could have been a bit more creative with that from a writers standpoint.
The high lords meeting was so interesting to see too. Seeing them all together and finally getting descriptions to put to the faces I imagined in my head was amazing. Tamlin once again is a fucking pussy though that whole sequence had me actually so angry for Feyre I don’t know how she sat there.
Also Nesta made my heart BLEED when her and Feyre were in the library and got ambushed. I was just crying so much when she hugged Feyre after Rhys and Cassian saved them. Seeing the sisters become closer was also another really rewarding thing that she added to this book that I felt the story NEEDED. I cannot wait to see how their story progresses.
I will 100% be reading on in this series. I never realized until finishing this book how much it got me back into reading. Not just from liking the story but to how excited I am to not only talk about it but see where the story goes next. I cannot wait to read on.
