this book certainly didn’t measure up to the second in the series, but i still really enjoyed it — especially the rag-tag rallying of immortal gods and fae creatures and sworn enemies turned tentative allies. there were really sweet moments, with the suriel and mor coming out to feyre, and there were cheesy moments that (call me a hater) didn’t need to happen, with amren’s return and Rhys’ near miss. but i liked it. i LIKED that it wrapped up so nicely. sue me.

The war chapters started to feel like I was watching Avengers:Endgame… you bring in this mystery creature to help, you bring someone, you bring someone, SURPRISE these people just showed up!!! All in all I enjoyed it. It was very much a “happy ending” the “sacrifices” ended up not being sacrifices at all, at most Amren became an actual High Fae. I’m curious about how they’ll work with the human lands/leaders, and how they’ll keep things from reverting back to humans hating Fae, but I guess we’ll see.
I did cry… I haven’t cried over a book in a while but for TWO PAGES I cried…. I figured he would T STAY dead but even still imagining how Feyre would’ve acted, or how even I would react to losing my mate like that… PHEWWWWW had a girl tearin up over here…
Overall, I’d say this was like a 4 stars, a singular spice
