Gosh, I loved this so much. It’s a different perspective of WWII, shown through the eyes of a Russian sniper, written based off the actual Lyudmila Pavlichenko herself. 

I find myself drinking up Kate Quinn’s prose, the way the story could be lighthearted and fluffy in one moment then absolutely heart-wrenching/gut-punching in the next. Loved the strongheaded Mila—don’t we all love a kickass lady? 

This will definitely stay with me for a long while.
