Really love Kate Quinn’s writing style but this one dragged quite a bit at the end. Almost felt like 2 different stories mashed together. I realize the story is quite complex, but this one was just a bit too long and the ending was unbelievable.

I eagerly anticipated reading this book and have to say was a bit disappointed.
The writing was ok but there was something missing/lacking from being able to fully engage in the story.
I dislike receptiveness and that was all over this book. Again and Again from more than one character.
Seemed like they didn't know what else to say since the story wasn't going anywhere.

The jumping from time to time was ok and authors do that a lot, in this book/story it seemed to break up the fragile rhythm it finally had going in one area and start you off in another spot, it was very distracting.

Interesting history and story, just wished for better execution in the writing style.
