Tropes: Hockey Romance

TW: Alcohol, Heart Disease, Grief & Loss Depiction, Car Accident, Death of a Friend, Cheating (not between MCs, past)

Rhett Rauthruss, hockey player, is having trouble adapting to single life after ending a 6 year relationship. Sienna, figure skater, doesn't really know much about dating in college since she's spent most of it working on her figure skating. When Rhett and Sienna keep finding themselves sharing the same ice rink and seeing each other at the same parties, maybe Sienna shouldn't keep fighting the pull they have to each other.

Rhett is a total swetheart. THIS MAN OMG. He was caring and loyal right from the beginning all the way till the end. He is not your typical player boy, but just a boy who is looking for a long-term relationship with someone who won't break his trust. Rhett is perfection. Sienna was so determined, fierce, carefree, and didn't take shit from anyone. I really loved how Sienna was a figure skater and Rhett was a hockey player. Their relationship felt natural with their chemistry and emotional connection. These characters felt so mature for how old they were, especially being in college, and I loved it because it goes to show that not everyone in college is immature. I honestly wasn't expecting the small twist, but it made the story more interesting. I'm slowly making my way through this series, and I'm having the time of my life with it. I accidentally read Book 3 before Book 2, but that's okay because these can be read as standalones. I'm currently reading Book 2 right now LOL! If you like hockey romance and characters that know what they want, this book is definitely for you! So far this book is my favorite out of the 4!

I was surprised by some of the seriousness this book had in it compared to the others in their series, but it was such a good read. I loved Rhett and Sienna together and how they started off.

Rhett is my favorite character so far in this series. I liked him as a side character, but really enjoyed him taking forefront. He's a lovable character, who just doesn't understand how being a player is suppose to work. He messes things up, says the wrong thing, and sometimes, even falls asleep. He made me laugh out loud sometimes, and made me tear up in others.

Sienna was good for Rhett. She was an ice skater, who understood the time that goes into skating. After thinking he was a true player, it took her a bit to come around, but when she did, it was worth it. There are some sad parts in this story, but it's so worth the read. I loved reading about the other characters too from earlier in the series and can't wait for more to come!

they were cute but there’s not much to work here. also carrie’s death was kind of unnecessary. i expected something else.

i loved the bonus epilogue though.
