Mistborn: The Final Empire creates a believable but magical world. I was always asking questions and they would always be answered. It felt like each chapter gave new insight into the world and twisted my perspective on it.
The protagonist is a young street urchin who grew up in the underground. She trusts no one, but by the end she is confident and kicks ass. There are many side characters who all contribute to the main plot in their own ways.
This is a great fantasy heist book. It ties up nicely at the end and could work as a stand alone book. I only worry about where the future books will go, but from the reviews I've read only good is to come!
