save your time and don't read we were liars and just read this one instead. i think the characters are much better set and developed. carrie is someone that you hate to love and love to hate, which is what makes her so relatable. didn't really need her not believe and blame her own sister for her SA. at time the book was predictable but then the end really hits you over the head

When I tell you I couldn't put this book down, I mean it. The first one was also addicting but often confusing. This one was perfect. It really served everything the other didn't! First you start reading the story of a liar. Then you kinda forget she's a liar bc, after all, she is the one telling her own story... Then comes the shocking truth along with many plot twists I was definitely not waiting for! When you think you're on top of everything remember: They were ALWAYS liars.

This was a great traveling companion during a recent flight: a quick read and excellent follow-up to one of my YA favorites, We Were Liars.
