I'm learning that I am a plot girlie, even with romances. 90% of this book was banter and the other 10% was everything else, which is not my favorite combination (there was just way to much dialogue). I definitely like the show better, just because it has more characters and more of a story. I'm assuming the later books have more going on because Lady Whistledown has to be revealed at some point. Even if I sound like I didn't like it, I was having a great time at the end of the book and read half of it in one day. I absolutely will be reading the rest of the series.

Quality of Writing: 4/5
Strength of Character: 3/5
Plot: 1/5

Was it an enjoyable book?  Of course!  But one of the reasons I love the show are the costumes and the cast, especially how much we see the other siblings.

I was, of course, still put off by the SA.  I do allow that Daphne knows nothing of consent, but that didn’t make the scene any less uncomfortable for me.

Still love Simon and the brothers and Daphne’s wit.
