She’s done it again- while not as layered as her first, this book was just as intense. Very thought provoking. This one will stick with me awhile.

I doubt that in my lifetime, I will ever read another book like Betty. Incredible prose and storytelling. I can’t believe Tiffany wrote this when she was only 17 – an absolute prodigy.

This book is essentially a series of tragedies — at times it was so hard to read it physically made me sick. I had to take it in strides. But woven between all the tragedies is the story of a girl who refuses to believe that she is cursed. She chooses to hold onto hope.

Betty is a wonderful narrator and character, and she told this gut-wrenching story so well. Very, very tough read, but such a good book.

I saw this author speak at a virtual book fair and was very impressed. The book is very well written but painful to read. So many horrible things people do to each other. It is also a long book that I think could have been shorter.. I do recommend it though!
