I listened to this on audiobook and it was a rollicking good time. Each chapter focuses on a different female deity/group of deities, examining their depictions in ancient and modern times with a nuanced and feminist approach. Haynes is an excellent narrator and knows when to treat her subject matter seriously and when to add humour. A delight.
