I found it very informative and you get close to another cultures darke side.

I like if a topic is current - as in something relevant for the  contemporary time you are in.

A good read and enlightning.

Tough stories some of these women share, so I support that!

All in all an easy read, and captivating reading

under the plum tree and Dear Hyunnam Oppa were my absolute highlights. would recommend the book to people just for those!

the other stories i enjoyed as well, night of aurora was also excellent. miss kim knows was a brilliant story about how as women, we really do all have so many of the same stories.

Cho portrays circumstances and imparts her readers with vivid, incisive language. Whether discussing relationships, plum trees, or Northern lights, lucid prose cuts through the banal to develop rounded, tangible characters.

The book explores various parts of society but never loses sight of its main subject, which is what it means to be a woman in modern-day Korea. The topic ranges from parenthood, sexual assault, aging, cyber-hatred, domestic violence, caregiving, manipulation, and self-fulfillment.

True to her style, this book portrays the story in mundane, but progressive style. Towards the end, the book able to bring all the pieces of a complex portrait of the reality of women in South Korea together. My favorites are Runaway, Dear Hyunnam Oppa and Under The Plum Tree.
