* Two Stories in one book.
* Story one is called Open Grave.
* Rick is a 23 year old college student who meets Carley and instantly falls for her.
* Carley tells him about her spiritual journey and has him meet her roommate, Amanda, because she is very involved in the occult.
* Rick decides to do a report on the occult because he’s interested in it.
* Carley gives him an address to a candle store that sells occult things for his research.
* While at this candle shop, he meets Raven. There’s something about her and he’s instantly obsessed with her.
* She invites him to a seance at her house, where things get even weirder and he becomes even more infatuated with her.
* This story is the longer one of the two at 172 pages.
* The story wasn’t bad, but just kinda weird. There’s a lot of moving pieces that make up the plot and it can be a little confusing.
* I also found the writing to be a little rushed and disconnected. Almost like they were trying to fit a ton of information in the 172 pages.
* Not a horrible story, but not my favorite.
* Story two is called Grave in the Woods.
* This is about a female cop named Melissa. She deals with a lot of harassment because she is a female in a male dominated career.
* Her male co-workers make her feel less than because of her gender.
* Her and her partner are called to a crime scene where a young boy had found a dead body in the woods.
* Melissa gets fascinated with the case and the dead woman.
* I really don’t understand what the purpose of this story was.
* It didn’t really tell me anything. It was just sort of there.
* At least the first one dealt with the occult and rituals, this one was just about a cop.
* These two stories don’t really fit together and I’m confused as to why they were put in one book.
* I only paid $4 and I’m glad I didn’t pay anymore.
* The book was just kinda weird and I feel like the stories weren’t fully thought out.
* Not my cup of tea at all.
