Another 5⭐️ read from Katelyn πŸ˜©πŸ‘πŸ» I didn’t want to put it down nor did it I want it to end…Truthfully, I had no idea this book was going to make me such an emotional wreck. My heart physically hurt for Bridgette and Maggie😭 Their story is just so raw and soul crushingly beautiful πŸ₯Ήβ€οΈ  I fell in love with both of them right from the beginning and I’m so happy we got their story! Ooooo and the spice?! It’s Katelyn, of course there’s a ton and of course it’s HOT πŸ₯΅

Deliverance ARC Review πŸ’‹

After I finished the Gallows Hill trilogy, I was dying for Maggie’s story bc I loved her so much and I didn’t even know she was getting a book at the time 😭

If you read the trilogy, you probably hated Bridgette (I did πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ) β€” BUT, since the timeline of the book runs parallel to the trilogy, you get to see her side of the story which is an eye opener. Deliverance will absolutely get you to change your mind about her. I know I love her now πŸ₯°
If you haven’t read Gallows Hill yet, you can either read it before or after Deliverance but I would definitely read it because it really brings the whole story together.

Come prepared with tissues β€” I don’t think I ever ugly cried so hard from a book 😭

In the heart-thumping tale of Deliverance, meet Maggie Bartlett, our star navigating life's rollercoaster. If you've journeyed through the Gallows Hill trilogy (Deceit, Descent, Demise), you'll remember Maggie as Skyla’s best buddy. And guess who's back? The no-nonsense Bridgette, ready to show us her softer side, lurking beneath that tough exterior.

Maggie's world is a swirl of emotions as she mourns her dad's passing, just before her mom ties the knot again. On the flip side, Bridgette's been raised under the crushing weight of society's rulebook, hiding secrets in the shadows.

Enter their world where parental expectations loom large, and same-sex relationships come with a hefty price tag. This duo faces some wild hurdles, especially Bridgette, who’s caught in a whirlwind of new emotions for Maggie. Meanwhile, Maggie rocks her identity with pride, waving her flag as an openly gay individual without a hint of hesitation.

If you are looking for Dark, secret society, sapphic, step sisters forbidden romance this is the book for you. Katelyn knows how to write the drama and this book is full of forbidden and drama.

Bridgette and Maggie are newly step sisters. Bridgette is known for being a mean girl and Maggie can't stand her. One summer together and things get hot if you know what I mean. But in the Brethren queer relationships can't happen so they decide to keep things under wraps until Bridgette does the unforgivable. Maggie doesn't want to keep getting hurt so she decides to try and move on with someone else. But things aren't always what they seem and within the brethren there are always secrets and family drama. Will Maggie and Bridgette make their way back to each other or will the society they were born into tear them apart for good.

This book was heartbreaking and what these girls had to endure was terrible and you felt so sorry for them. If you haven't read the others in the series you definitely understand what was going on with Bridgette and why she did the things she did. I recommend it if you haven't read Deceit, Descent, and Demise to get the full experience read those first. This is a standalone but it's better to read them all. Loved seeing Skyla and her guys helping Maggie.

Katelyn, this book has been tattooed on my soul! I can’t even express how beautiful is to step back in to the Gallows Hill world thru different eyes.
I will suggest to anyone that would like to read this book, please read the series first if you don’t want major spoilers.
This was my first sapphic dark romance novel and it did not disappoint. Katelyn is a wizard with words and an incredible storyteller, will make you fall in love with the world, her characters and she will play with your emotions in the best way possible.
This book is dark, moody, sexy and sensual! Maggie will show you her emotional intelligence at every corner and that makes an amazing FMC, I loved how she can be herself even when she is being tested. Brigitte took me by surprise and took me a while to get to really know her, we only seen a side of her into the series, and lest be honest wasn’t her best. But reading this book, I probably understood her and related to her more than any other FMC.
Now let me tell you something, the spice in this book!!! Oh is burning molten hot!!! Get ready because you might need some cool off!!
Brad is the best brother someone can ask for and I feel for him so much.
I love how we get this easter eggs of the boys and Skyla, I loved seeing the other side of Maggie’s support.
Overall this book is everything I was hoping for to be and more!
Thank you so much for the opportunity of reading it as an ARC!
adventurous challenging dark hopeful sad fast-paced

I loved this series and I’m so happy that Brigette and Maggie got their own book. It had me angry, sad and sitting on the edge of my seat as I enjoyed hearing both POVs as we were kept in the dark for a lot of it during Skyla’s books. This is a FF and it did not lack on dirty talk or spice and also getting some cameos from previous characters from books 1-3.

PS. We all need a big brother like Brad in our lives.

Check your triggers as always πŸ–€

KT really put me through a myriad of emotions with this book and it was so heartbreakingly beautiful.

I absolutely love Maggie and have since we first met her!  She is so unapologetically herself in a world where she knows her life will not end up how she wants.  But until then, she’s just enjoying whatever she can.  And then there’s Bridgette…who we all know and probably hated before reading this book, but getting her perspective is truly eye opening.

Both of these women are so freaking strong in their own ways.  But the tension, chemistry, and sweet moments they have shared together = true perfection.  But that’s not to say the world around them hasn’t contributed to how they have hurt each other.  But I honestly couldn’t get enough of their story and this book.

Thank you so much to Katelyn Taylor for letting me read and review an ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts!

We are back to the Gallows Hill! Meet the story of Maggie - Skyla's friend.
Katelyn gives us an opportunity to look behind the main trilogy, to understand some whys and get known with side characters more. And she's absolutely delivered! I enjoy how Katelyn can twist the plot and leave us with our dropped jaws.

This is the story of highly unforgivable and old-fashioned society, some of their customs will really make you cringe. But it makes the characters even more likable with their secret relationship.

The spice... oh my, the spice was definitely spicing!
I was very happy with the ending of the story. Yes, we'll have our HEA!

It was my first FF romance and I loved it like I knew I would since I love everything Katelyn writes and this was no exception. But what I did not expect was that I would be feeling so much. I am never triggered by a book but this book had me crying.
I liked Maggie the moment we met her in Deceit the same way I hated Bridgette in the same book. But o how things change, I liked the other perspective of the events in the other Gallows Hill books and I almost forgot how much of an a**hole Asher was at first and like the other books there is lots of spice.
But getting to know Maggie and Bridgette and their story was heartbreaking and beautiful and this has become my favorite book by Katelyn yet.
