I love the Chalet School, particularly in its early days, and this will always be one of my favourites. Eustacia is a little prig, though you know from the first that the School will reform her sooner or later. Interesting to read an unabridged version for the first time, and to notice things I'd never seen before. (Though this did include a totally unnecessary use of  a racial slur which I think should have been excised. It might have been in common usage in 1930 when the book was first published, but I personally don't think a modern reprint should include it.)
