What a beautiful book. It really touched me. It took me a little bit to get into, but I loved the characters, especially Marcellus. It had me tearing up at the end - what a special story.

At first it didn't make sense why are we following these exact people, later it clicked.
I was not a fan of humanized octopus sherlok-holming his way into people's lives. I would rather read a nonfiction about these amazing creatures than them being given thoughts and words.

I absolutely adored this book. It is written well, I didn't want to stop reading it, the characters are well developed, and who doesn't love a happy ending? It was a little predictable, especially after about mid-way through the story, but I did not mind at all. I enjoy reading thinking, "will what I thought be true?". It doesn't make the story less wonderful. This is 100% a comfort read, and I think the insights are profoundly deep.

A refreshing reflective read about coming to terms with loss and accepting the unknown. Tova is such an interesting main character, I loved reading about her quirks and habits. The characters felt very fleshed out and full. The plot was a bit predictable but enjoyable nonetheless.
