soo i don’t think i’m going to be getting over this for a while
I used to write tons of reviews on books, but I’ve stopped for a while. This series has me wanting to write a whole essay on it. First of all, can we acknowledge Pip’s character development? How she has developed throughout these series? I really felt for her at the end of the book, and I’m so so sad on what happened to Stanley. I’ll be honest, Jamie going missing was pretty random, and it’s only been a year since her solving the Andie Bell murder? But, it was page turning, and I could NOT put the book down at all. I was in between 3.5 to 4 stars with the series so far. I hope Max Hastings gets what he deserves, and the victims deserve justice. I love Ravi & Pip’s dynamic, I think they fit perfectly together. Pip can be a little mean to him sometimes but I know she means well. Ravi gives golden retriever energy and Pip gives black cat energy, and I love it. I’ve always thought being a detective was easy but I think I’d give up in Pip’s situation. I hope she gets some therapy for the trauma she experienced. She puts too much pressure on herself. She’s definitely a perfectionist.
