I don't think this was completely bad; it just wasn't for me. I think for a younger audience it might be fine. I didn't really care about the social media / tech aspect of it, which was most of the book. I couldn't really connect with or care about any of the characters because they were young & I found a lot of their personality traits kind of extreme.
I didn't guess the twists, but I also didn't really care when they were revealed. Once the killer was revealed, I felt like I had more questions than answers. It seemed like maybe there were some plot holes.
As for the audiobook, I wish they would have had more female narrators. It was hard to figure out whose POV it was because the woman sounded the same for them all.

my last read of 2022! fun, fast paced, exciting, i really enjoyed this. couldn’t put it down, was desperate to find out what happens. just found the ending slightly rushed!
This had the potential to be unpredictable, but it fell short seeing as it’s basically spoiled in the plot. I was pretty dissatisfied in the ending because it seemed so cliche. It was a short audio and I had fun with it throughout the story, it’s just the ending I wasn’t a fan of.

I am honestly not sure how I feel about this one, the characters are a bit too horrible, selfish and nasty that I don’t feel much for any of them and the whole game I guess is unique and fun to a point. But you need to have characters that are complex not just all the obsessed and selfish and arrogant sides that are on show there has to be something that gets to you and makes you believe in them support them. With this one I am sorry to say I wasn’t convinced. It’s a good crime book, but it hasn’t got to me the way the others have. It was all a bit obvious and cliched for me.
