As with all of his novels, Red Storm Rising displays Tom's accurate knowledge of the military, politics, and foreign relations. Even though written in the 80s, this book still rings true with how complex and intricate a modern world war would be

I don't know enough about modern military tactics/jargon/equipment for it to really mean anything to me because the book is all military engagements. For those who do understand it, I can see why they would like it

Clancy at his best. I much prefer this style to many of his Ryan books. The global reach and variety of characters is superb
