Powerful, quick YA read. The language is raw, poetic, and rings of truth. I enjoyed following Junior as he struck out into the world. I would happily read a sequel.

The Absolutely True Diary of A Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie; Wit. Hilarious. Dark Jokes. Cartoon. Fight. Poor.
.
Poverty doesn't give you strength or teach you lessons about perseverance. No, poverty only teaches you how to be poor.

I'M GLAD I REREAD THIS BOOK. Banyak hal-hal yang baru aku sadari yang sebelumnya benar-benar gak ngeh. Bacaan terbaik bulan ini!
.

The author has capabilities to make it funny and funnier then the next line will be really sad that make you feel sorry or otherwise.

Contohnya: [My head was so big that little Indian skulls orbited around it. Some of the kids called me Orbit. And other kids just called me Globe. The bullies would pick me up, spin me in circles, put their finger down on my skull, and say, "I want to go there."]

I really recommend this book, you have to give a shot to this, it's worth knowing for knowledge! Beli di mana? Di bazar Big Bad Wolf ada

Great story, gives insight into poverty and Indian culture. Too real for comfort at times which is refreshing coming from a young narrator. Very honest & sweet, I'd urge any teenagers living in poverty to read this.

I couldn't put this (audio)book down! I'm not very good at writing reviews but it's rare for me to find a book that draws me in so completely that I want to go back and experience it again. I'm sure that reading the book would be awesome but I think listening to Sherman Alexie narrate his work is definitely the way to go.

Junior is such a compelling character. This book is seeped in so much personality— you can feel it practically fly off the page.

I was not expecting this book to be so emotional. This is a perfect blend of humor and angst. Every character feels very developed and layered, which is especially impressive given how everything is from one character in a diary format.

Despite being YA, the book feels very mature. This was required reading in my upper-level college class and we all loved it.

This book is fantastic and I can’t believe people are trying to ban it.
