It’s not often I like what I call “boy books” 😂 a YA male protagonist that likes fart jokes and can’t stop thinking about girls. But this book was excellent! I really loved the author/Junior’s humor. And scratching the very surface of understanding a new-to-me perspective/culture is something I love in reading. Places making this a “banned book” from high schoolers makes me feel so sad. I really think teenagers would resonate with this. I read it in one day, the artwork in it is fantastic as well. This book is emotional, heart warming, and has fun dry humor.

An incredibly heartbreaking story and extremely heavy but powerful young adult book. I didn’t think a YA book like this would have me almost in tears at work
